How marketers can use ChatGPT’s Custom Instructions feature

ChatGPT has just released a new Customs Instructions feature in beta, which it’s currently rolling out to all Plus users.

This allows marketers to set their own instructions for every conversation going forward. In other words, you won’t have to re-enter your specific preferences in each prompt—it’ll automatically remember what you want.

AI is powering SMS marketing’s sudden resurgence

SMS marketing is back with a bang.

In 2023, 86% of businesses are using text messages for customer outreach, a jump from 55% in 2022.

Why the sudden resurgence? The cookie's demise and tightened privacy regulations have made online marketing challenging. Also, email marketing is losing its shine due to spam-weary customers and improved spam filters (damn you, Promotions folder!)

However, the real game-changer is AI.

It enables marketers to deliver timely, effective messages, pinpointing "mid-funnel intent signals" that show a customer nearing a purchase. Using these signals and customer data, marketers can craft personalized messages, delivering them at the most conversion-friendly moments.

How marketers can use AI for SMS marketing

  • Boosting personalization: By analyzing customer data, AI can craft messages tailored to the individual's tastes, habits, and preferences. This personal touch will increase engagement and conversion rates.

  • Sending messages at the optimal time: AI algorithms can predict the best times to send messages to each customer, based on their past behavior and other contextual data. This ensures messages reach consumers when they're most likely to respond positively.

  • Recognizing buyer intent: AI can identify signals that a potential customer is moving towards a purchase. With this insight, marketers can craft messages that meet customers at their point of need and drive them towards conversion.
