AI Marketing School Newsletter #5

Building a course is a fantastic way to attract leads, generate revenue, build your audience, establish your expertise, and hook prospects into your ecosystem.

And courses are big business.

EdTech Udemy generated $165.3 million last year. Meanwhile, 165,000 marketers and counting have passed through the Hubspot Academy.

But creating value-add courses takes plenty of blood, sweat, and tears. It’s an incredibly labour-intensive process.

So, how can companies create a nice additional revenue stream with minimal fuss and headache?

By using AI.

“Just bring your idea and let AI turn it into something you can sell.”

Last week saw the launch of Kajabi’s AI Creator Lab, a course-creation unicorn.

Its AI-powered tool can:

  • Produce a course outline (in under a minute)

  • Generate lesson content

  • Write landing page and sales email copy

  • Write sales video scripts

  • Create social media content

  • Edit video content using text (coming soon)

In other words, it automates the classic course workflow:

Ideate -> Create Sample -> Market -> Build

But won’t this just lead to loads of the same mediocre courses?

Perhaps. But this is really the crux of the whole AI debate.

ChatGPT has 13 million daily users. Won’t this flood the internet with average content? Yes. But as always, the good stuff rises to the top.

We’re not saying you should only rely on AI-powered course creation tools. However, they can be a great way to kickstart your efforts before you sprinkle some of your own magic on top…

Especially if you’re a solo marketer or working in a small team.

GrammarlyGO has officially entered the chat

Kajabi is by no means the only SaaS that’s incorporating AI. In the past week, we’ve seen generative AI from:

And now, Grammarly—every writer’s best friend—has introduced GrammarlyGo.

GrammarlyGo promises “Generative AI wherever Grammarly lives”. With 30 million users and integrations with 500k+ websites and apps, that means it’ll be everywhere.

All Grammarly Premium users will have access from April apart from schools, which will be able to decide for themselves.

While Grammarly’s core offering is trained on millions of inputs from users, GrammarlyGo will use OpenAI’s LLM and not their own.

Also, while Grammarly checks for plagiarism, it’s not going to have an AI check—so just bear that in mind.
