Why ChatGPT’s new ShowMe plugin is the perfect for visual learners

ChatGPT has released a new ShowMe plugin, allowing users to create and edit diagrams directly in chat.

The plugin is a powerful way to visualize complex ideas and communicate them more effectively, which is especially useful for visual learners (credit to @TheRealAdamG for this idea.)

Users can use the plugin to create a variety of diagrams such as flowcharts, mind maps, and organizational charts.

How marketers can use the ShowMe plugin

  • Customer Journey Mapping: Use the Show Me plugin to create customer journey maps, visualizing your customers’ end-to-end experience with your brand.

  • Content Planning: Create a visual content calendar or flowchart, which will help you plan and organize content marketing strategies.

  • Project Management: Devise Gantt charts or flowcharts to help visualize tasks, timelines, and dependencies.

  • Competitor Analysis: Generate diagrams illustrating competitor positioning, product features, or market share, offering a visual comparison of your company’s competitive landscape.

  • Data Visualization: Understand or present complex data in an easily digestible manner, using the plugin to create suitable diagrams or charts.

AI Marketing School AlumnAI

Every week, we chat with a marketing pro to learn about how AI can up our marketing game.

This week, we’re speaking to SaaS marketer John May.

Q: John, please introduce yourself in one line

A: I'm a driven B2B marketing manager focused on fostering growth and positive change through technology, empathy, and collaboration.

Q: What is your current AI tech stack?

A: My stack includes ChatGPT, Quillbot, and localized German AI tools like Neuroflash. I'm also exploring AI assistants in search engines, ChatGPT/Zapier integration, and AI agents for various roles.

Q: What's your favorite use case?

A: Speeding up copywriting to save time and improve content generation efficiency.

Q: What results have you achieved?

A: We've increased web traffic due to faster, more consistent content releases.

Q: What are your thoughts on the future of AI in marketing?

A: AI has tremendous potential to become more sophisticated, transforming marketing as it matures. Today's AI tools are like cassette tapes compared to the future's Spotify.

Marketers must continuously upskill to avoid obsolescence, but traditional marketing channels will not disappear; they will evolve, just as print media, radio, and TV did alongside newer technologies. The future of marketing will involve a mix of new AI innovations and the evolution of existing channels.

Have a laugh

After impact.be poked fun at ChatGPT in its latest campaign, the internet quickly responded. Bravo.
